Wethersfield Heritage Walk
The Wethersfield Heritage Walk is a three-mile self tour guided by exhibit kiosks and wayside panels through Main Street The Cove, Broad Street Green, and more! Look out for brochures at Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, or other stores and restaurants around the Main Street area. View the Brochure (PDF).

Genealogy / Heritage Research
An excellent genealogical research center is located in Old Wethersfield. This research library is operated by the Wethersfield Historical Society in the 1804 Old Academy building
at 150 Main Street It contains over 1000 books, including genealogies of Wethersfield families, as well as local and regional histories another paper, and photographic material. The library is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. Appointments may be made for other hours. In addition, the Wethersfield Town Hall is another source for land and probate records dating back to the town’s founding in 1634. Secondary sources and additional paper resources area available. The office is open
Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Two other excellent research facilities are within 15 minutes driving time of Wethersfield. They are the Connecticut State Library – Museum of Connecticut History and the Connecticut Historical Society.


Outdoor Recreation

Visitor’s Center
200 Main Street, Historic Wethersfield.
The Visitor Center offers information such as maps, a list of attractions, and historical exhibitions. Bathrooms, drinking fountain, museum and shop, wheelchair accessible, free visitor parking – You can park in the rear of the building which is located in the center of the Old Village just a few steps from the shops, museums, and a variety of places to eat or grab a drink.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10AM – 4PM; Sunday 1PM – 4PM
