Join the Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers in the heart of Wethersfield’s historic and cultural district for a day of free music along Main Street on the “porches” of colonial homes/museums, shops, restaurants, and other businesses!
Start the day with free Yoga at 9:15am, then enjoy over 40 bands/musicians throughout the day all along Main Street, Old Wethersfield. Look out for over 90 vendors sprinkled in-between.

Build a Bigger Table Wethersfield

You are cordially invited to the launch of “Build A Bigger Table Wethersfield,” a community dinner dedicated to fostering open dialogue and authentic connection.
Our Goal:
In an increasingly divided world, “Build a Bigger Table” aims to bring community members together to share a meal and engage in real listening. We invite you to step out of your “bubble” and join us with an openness to hear different perspectives and beliefs.
What to Expect:
Community Seating | To encourage new connections, participants will be seated at round tables with people they don’t already know.
Guided Conversation | Each table will have prompts to help break the ice and stimulate meaningful discussion.
A Commitment to Civility | We ask all guests to come with a desire to listen and learn, agreeing to follow basic rules of civility throughout the evening.

America’s Community Picnic

America is 250 and we are getting together as a community to celebrate! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and food for this community picnic at the Solomon Welles House/Cove Park. Enjoy music provided by DJ Brian Skibo courtesy of the Wethersfield Tourism and Cultural Commission. There will be a Family Cornhole Tournament and Bingo for the kids, with prizes to be awarded.

The Town of Wethersfield is happy to announce that the annual fireworks celebration is returning on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at Cove Park in Old Wethersfield. Starting at 5:00 pm, the event will include live music, DJ, activities for kids, food vendors and more. The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:00 pm.
Free shuttle service will be provided from the Pitkin Community Center (30 Greenfield Street) to the Solomon Welles House. Shuttle bus service will run continuously from 5 pm to 10:30 pm.
