Cabaret for a Cause
May 2nd, 7:30pm. WHS Drama presents its 2026 “Cabaret for a Cause”
Wethersfield High School Drama proudly presents its annual “Cabaret for a Cause.” This year, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, a premier nonprofit organization for Cancer Research, founded in 1993 by ESPN and coach Jim Valvano. The Foundation focuses on accelerating research to achieve victory over cancer (https://www.v.org/).
Doors open at 7:00pm, and curtain is at 7:30pm. Tickets will be available at www.cur8.com and at the door. $15 adults and $10 seniors and students. Online sales close one hour before curtain time. 411 Wolcott Hill Road.

Enjoy an evening of music with The Midnight Anthem. The country-inspired Americana group is made up of Catherine, Sophia and Grace…cousins by birth, but sisters at heart. Backed by a rhythm section, The
Midnight Anthem will perform an entertaining blend of originals and popular tunes in a mix of country, folk, rock and Americana. Performing together since 2021, The Midnight Anthem won the New England Music Award for Rising Star in Connecticut in 2023 and was nominated for Best Live Act in 2024.
Bring blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners for a night to remember. The concert will be held on the sprawling lawn between the Garden and Cedar Mausoleums.
No pets allowed, except for service animals.

Jeanne Freeman
Jeanne Freeman is a fiddler and founder of the Connecticut Academy of Irish Music. Trained in Irish and classical traditions, she has performed with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, appeared on Connecticut Public Television, and recorded the solo CD The Fiddler You Are.
Haley Hewitt
Haley Hewitt is a Connecticut-based harpist and educator specializing in Scottish, Irish, and North American traditional music. She holds degrees from the Hartt School of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall.

Songs of 18th Century America

Wethersfield Historical Society’s American Revolution Program Series continues with soprano Linda Russell and Songs of 18th Century America. Interspersing local history with music from the period including ballads, Revolutionary War anthems, and love songs, Linda uses music to bring the history of the Revolution in Wethersfield to life.
At Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, Wethersfield. Admission: $10 General Public; Free for current members of Wethersfield Historical Society.

Wethersfield Historical Society presents a unique theatrical experience of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in the double parlor of the Hurlbut-Dunham House on Saturday, December 13 and again on Thursday, December 18. Time’s Fool Theatre Company’s Wesley Broulik reprises his acclaimed one-man show accompanied by only a solo cello and your imagination. You’ll see Dickens’ beloved characters come to life before your eyes – Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and Ebenezer Scrooge – in the intimate setting of the Hurlbut-Dunham House, decked out for the holidays and ready to celebrate a Victorian Christmas.
These performances are given for the benefit of Wethersfield Historical Society. Seating is limited to only 20 audience members for each performance of this one-of-a-kind event. In addition to admittance to the show, attendees will enjoy seasonal refreshments served at 5:30 pm preceding the performance. Guests will enjoy prosecco or sweet cider along with other holiday favorites. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased on EventBrite. You can save the convenience fees and buy them in-person at the Keeney Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) for cash or check. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
All proceeds from this event will go toward operations at Wethersfield Historical Society.
