America is 250 and we are getting together as a community to celebrate! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and food for this community potluck at the Cove Park. Make your favorite dish and share with your neighbor while enjoying music provided by the Wethersfield Tourism and Cultural Commission or play a bit of corn hole with the provide corn hole sets. The Old Wethersfield Book Walk brings together 80+ local authors in a day filled with books, history, and family fun activities along Main Street, Old Wethersfield. Take time to stroll Main Street and explore nearby shops and award winning restaurants — there’s a story waiting on every corner.

Bicycles on Main Community Bike Ride and Parade
May 3rd, 10:00am. Bicycles on Main Community Bike Ride and Parade
Family friendly and accessible event designed to celebrate the month-long “Bicycles On Main” Event. Join local dignitaries, the Wethersfield Police Bicycle Team, along with Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers and their families as they make their way through scenic Old Wethersfield.
- Meet at the Keeney Center at 10am, ride kicks off at 10:30am!
- After the ride- enjoy a slice of pizza- courtesy of Village!
- Bicycles Along Main shirts will also be available! Don’t wait for your favorite color/size to be sold out!

Arbor Day Celebration
May 2nd, 9:30am. Arbor Day Celebration/Tree Planting
Join Wethersfield Village Improvement Association along with Town dignitaries at Emerson Williams Elementary for a tree planting and celebration. The town’s 4th graders will read their poetry and show their drawings of trees. The John Chester Fife and Drum Corp will be there to perform.
