A beloved annual tradition returns: an intimate journey through centuries of American culinary heritage, from the landmark houses to a family-style feast in the Webb Barn, in support of preservation that keeps this history alive.

Come share a table, a toast, and a tradition at our annual Thanksgiving Dinner in the historic Webb Barn, supporting the preservation and education mission of the Webb Deane Stevens Museum.

Annual Touch-A-Truck

Join Wethersfield Moms Group for our 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck: a fun, free, community event where kids can explore, climb on, and learn about a variety of vehicles up close! Featuring a dump truck, school bus, firetruck, ambulance, garbage truck, and more!

Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center will be joining with some of their furry friends and reptiles for kids to see and learn about up close! There will be plenty of fun activities for kids to enjoy throughout the event, including a scavenger hunt!

Sensory-Friendly Hour: from 10-11am, the event will be sensory-friendly with no horns or sirens. All participants and businesses will be reminded to keep noise low during this time to ensure a comfortable and inclusive experience for everyone.

This is a FREE event, open to the public, proudly presented by the Wethersfield Moms Group.

Annual Source to Sea Cleanup

Join Great Meadows Conservation Trust at Wethersfield Cove for our annual cleanup!

Meet at the Cove Park parking lot. Bring work gloves if you have them, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks and water. Wear comfortable shoes that may get a little muddy or wet. We will provide bags for collecting trash.

25th Anniversary 9/11 Candlelight Vigil Commemoration

The Richard M. Keane Foundation is planning a 25th anniversary commemoration of the candle-
light ceremony that took place on the Broad Street Green in Wethersfield in the aftermath of the
9/11/2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

The free event on the Broad Street Green in Historic Wethersfield will feature presentations by dignitaries, community singers, town officials, and the winner of the September 11th Writing Contest.

More than five thousand people attended the original impromptu Candlelight Vigil on the Green in 2001 and held candles to commemorate the 9/11 victims. In lieu of actual candles, attendees at this year’s event will be asked for safety reasons to display a representation of a candle-flame from an app on their phones.

Please save the date 9/11/2026 for what promises to be a memorable and moving community event for the entire family. There is no rain date.

Keeney Koolers Concert: Number 9

Thanks to the generosity of a single donor, Keeney Koolers Concert Series returns with a single concert. Wethersfield Historical Society welcomes Number 9 back to the Showmobile Stage. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, a picnic supper, and something cool to drink. Come early and stake out your spot on the Keeney Lawn to enjoy everybody’s favorite Beatles tribute band. As always, admission is free.

Build a Bigger Table Wethersfield

You are cordially invited to the launch of “Build A Bigger Table Wethersfield,” a community dinner dedicated to fostering open dialogue and authentic connection.

Our Goal:
In an increasingly divided world, “Build a Bigger Table” aims to bring community members together to share a meal and engage in real listening. We invite you to step out of your “bubble” and join us with an openness to hear different perspectives and beliefs.

What to Expect:
Community Seating | To encourage new connections, participants will be seated at round tables with people they don’t already know.

Guided Conversation | Each table will have prompts to help break the ice and stimulate meaningful discussion.

A Commitment to Civility | We ask all guests to come with a desire to listen and learn, agreeing to follow basic rules of civility throughout the evening.
