Join the The Friends of the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center, Inc. for a FREE day of fun and education for the whole family at the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center, 156 Prospect Street. The Day will include ongoing events, animal petting zoo, reptile show, and crafts throughout the day! Refreshments available for purchase along with Main Street Creamery Ice Cream Truck on property.
This is a free event open to all. Free parking across the street at the United Methodist Church
Two LIVE animal events:
- 11:00am – 1:00pm, Animal petting zoo
- 1:30PM – 2:30pm, Live reptile show
On-going events include:
- Display of Friends’ and Eleanor’s History
- Visit our animals and tour the facility
- Children’s Crafts inside
- Connecticut Woodcarvers: Make a Talking Stick with the CT Woodcarvers
Bird Walk
May 9th, 6:30am.Bird Walk
Free – Reservations Encouraged
Join Jay Kaplan from Roaring Brook Nature Center for his annual bird walk at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Jay will lead participants through the ornamental foreground in search of resident and migratory birds. Appropriate hiking shoes and binoculars are strongly recommended.
Admission to the program is free. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made online at www.cedarhillfoundation.org.
No pets allowed, except for service animals.
PawFest

Benefiting the Hometown Foundation’s Police K-9 Program
Bring your pup and join The Charles on the lawn for an afternoon of community fun, all for a great cause! Enjoy delicious food and drinks made to order while we raise funds for our four-legged heroes.
The Hometown Foundation’s Police K-9 Program provides fully equipped K-9s, training, and vital support to local and state departments nationwide. Many K-9 units are underfunded and rely on private donations not only for their active service but also for medical care once they retire.
No tickets are required for entry!
