Scarecrows Along Main
October 1 - October 31
Come to the heart of Wethersfield’s cultural and historic district this October and see something spectacular! Scarecrows will be popping up along side shops, restaurants, museums, colonial homes and more this fall season. Scarecrows along Main is sponsored by the Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association.
In 2026, Bicycles Along Main will partner with America250 CT, encouraging participants to design displays inspired by Connecticut’s four America250 themes:
- Tell Inclusive Stories – sharing histories that may have gone untold
- Power of Place – highlighting what makes our community unique
- Doing History – actively engaging in historical exploration and learning
- For the Common Good – strengthening civic engagement and democracy
These themes invite creativity, storytelling, and community pride—and we can’t wait to see how they are brought to life. Special prizes and awards will be given in connection with these themes.
