SUMMARY:Scarecrows Along Main
DESCRIPTION:Come to the heart of Wethersfield’s cultural and historic district this October and see something spectacular! Scarecrows will be popping up along side shops\, restaurants\, museums\, colonial homes and more this fall season. Scarecrows along Main is sponsored by the Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association. \nIn 2026\, Scarecrows Along Main will partner with America250 CT\, encouraging participants to design displays inspired by Connecticut’s four America250 themes: \n\nTell Inclusive Stories – sharing histories that may have gone untold\nPower of Place – highlighting what makes our community unique\nDoing History – actively engaging in historical exploration and learning\nFor the Common Good – strengthening civic engagement and democracy\n\nThese themes invite creativity\, storytelling\, and community pride—and we can’t wait to see how they are brought to life. Special prizes and awards will be given in connection with these themes. \nMore information and entry form (registration opens in September): https://oldwethersfield.com/
